The Muslim Council of Britain is delighted to learn this morning of the release of the BBC journalist Alan Johnston.
MCB joined the journalists' union, Reporters without Borders, calling for Mr Johnston’s release.‘I wish Alan and his family all good wishes. The last 114 days have been an ordeal no family should experience. It is with great delight that we welcome news of his release and return home’, said MCB secretary general Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari.
The MCB’s deputy secretary general, Dr Daud Abdullah, joined the campaign led by members of the journalists union, Reporters without Borders, calling for Mr Johnston’s release.
هنيئا للصحفي ألان جونسون ولكل الأحرار في العالم ونتمنى أن يكون اطلاق سراحه فرصة للحكومة البريطانية للتعامل مع حكومة حماس الشرعية ورفع الحصار عن شعبنا الفلسطيني الصامد.
