Useful information on the upcoming legislative elections

ELECTORAL CARDS

- Electoral cards used for previous elections are still valid and can be used to vote on May, 17th - Electors who have lost or misplaced their electoral card, can apply free of charge for a duplicate one.

Requests can be made by telephone (0207-589-6885), or by fax (0207-589-7725) or by email ( info@algerianconsulate.org.uk);

- Algerian nationals who have registered at the consulate after September 2005, will receive their electoral card few weeks before the polling day;

- Algerian nationals who haven't, for any reason, received their electoral card, can ask for a duplicate card at the polling station on polling day, provided that they are registered on the electoral list. POLLING STATIONS

From Saturday, May 12th to Thursday, May 17th From 8.00am to 7.00pm

Manchester Location:

SUPERVISION DURING POLLING DAY

- The candidate or his fully appointed representative can be present at any polling station on the polling day to supervise polling operations. Regardless the number of candidates taking part in the election, the law only authorise five (5) representatives per polling station to be drawn of lots. - The depouillement is public and is held at the Algerian Consulate on the last day (ie Thursday, May, 17th at 7.00pm)
